Our Latest Project in Owslebury
This recently completed 3.5-bay oak-framed structure in Owslebury which combines a garage, carport, and workshop space.
One bay has been enclosed with heavy-duty traditional garage doors, handcrafted in stained softwood for a classic look and durable performance. The remaining bays have been left open to serve as a carport or for dry storage, depending on the client’s needs.
The build began with the installation of the solid base and low-level brick wall, providing a stable and weather-resistant foundation for the oak frame. Once the frame was in place, the structure was clad in softwood, adding a clean and cohesive finish.
With the roof frame complete, our specialist tilers finished the project with a Spanish slate tiled roof — chosen for its longevity and to complement the character of the surrounding property. .

This 3.5-bay oak frame garage, complete with a carport and storage space, is a bespoke addition to a property in Fishers Pond, Owslebury — perfectly suited to its setting. We managed the planning application process within the South Downs National Park on behalf of the client, ensuring compliance with local authority requirements.
The structure is topped with a traditional Spanish slate tiled roof, selected for both durability and aesthetic appeal. To manage rainwater efficiently, we installed high-capacity, extra-deep gutters. These feed into water butts for rainwater harvesting, with overflow directed to a soakaway system, supporting a sustainable approach to drainage.
Inside the carport, the black wall finish is the exposed breather membrane — a standard feature of our garages. However, we also offer an optional interior cladding service for a more polished look. Cladding the interior is priced at approximately £500 + VAT per bay, offering clients a tailored finish to suit their preferences.
