The team constructed this striking three-bay oak-framed building in Hungerford, complete with an upper floor and an internal bespoke staircase.
The main floor spans two bays, while the oak frame garage features a vaulted ceiling designed to accommodate a car lift.

The roof is finished with classic clay tiles, complementing the warm tones of the oak frame and giving the structure a timeless, elegant appearance. The exterior of the building is clad in soft wood.

The Hungerford site presented an unusual challenge: it was located across a ford over the River Dun, making deliveries tricky as most drivers were hesitant to cross the water. To solve this, we relied on a telehandler to safely transport materials across.
We managed the whole planning application process, which was straightforward.
Inside, the right-hand bay features a handcrafted internal staircase leading up to the mezzanine and will serve as a versatile workshop space. The loft room above has been designed as a storage area with Velux roof windows that flood the space with natural light. Its generous proportions make it ideal for future conversion into living accommodation or a self-contained annexe.
On the left, the garage is complete with traditional barn doors, while the entire build is clad in softwood and finished with classic clay tiles, giving the structure a timeless, warm aesthetic.
