Oak framed BBQ shelter / gazebo
This is the build log of our latest building – an oak framed BBQ shelter / gazebo in Camberley, Surrey.
This oak frame is 6m wide x 5m deep with a roof pitch of 35° to provide an outdoor kitchen area. The building is clad with Scottish Spruce and the tiled with interlocking clay tiles. It could be used as a hot-tub cover or anything else you can think of!

the Details
The build features the oak frame (sat on a small dwarf wall), softwood stud work / cladding / rafters. The half-hipped roof reflects the shape of the main house to which the frame is attached.
The large oak truss inside the vaulted ceiling makes a stunning feature and the timber boarding over the rafters hides any unsightly roofing felt / tiles.
