This is the build log of our latest building. An oak framed building with upper-floor in Berkshire.
This timber frame is 9.5m wide x 6.4m deep with a roof pitch of 45°. We tiled the roof using Heritage hand-made clay tiles, equally important though, we provided several options to make sure the oak garage looked great! The barn-hips on the roof give it the aged look, keeping with tradition and helping blend in beautifully.
We painted the traditional side-hung barn doors are with two coats of Sikkens WF761. We always prepare these in the workshop to protect them from the elements.

This traditional oak framed garage in Berkshire needed planning permission. We will work closely with your architect or build to your previously prepared plans. While we typically handle planning applications free of charge, in this case, the architect was already engaged for other works on the property. We simply provided the drawings and allowed him to take care of the rest.
At our company, we not only offer planning advice but can also submit the application on your behalf – all usually free of charge.
The design of this timber garage is great. Wooden garage doors, an internal staircase to reach the loft, furthermore, a double window in the mezzanine area lets in loads of light. Additionally, we’ve added an elegant touch with a weather-vane on the roof, this was the clients wish as it has sentimental value.
