Bespoke Detached Garden Room near Salisbury, Wiltshire
This large single bay oak framed garden room measured 7000mm x 4500mm. The under-eaves height is 2100mm internally with the vaulted ceiling for the feeling of spaciousness. The front beam across the doors is 200mm x 340mm and is one piece. The exterior of the building is finished in oak feather-edge cladding with all fixings hidden or plugged.
We used a direct glazing system of 28mm double-glazed units each with a u-value of 1.0
The room was finished with a Spanish slate tiled roof at a 30 degree pitch. Beneath 4m in height – this makes it exempt from planning in some cases (behind the front line of the house and 2m from any boundary are the main two of criteria).
