DOUBLE OAK BAY GARAGE, HAMPSHIRE
One of our recent double oak framed garages near Wickham, Hampshire.

The two bay oak framed garage measures 7220mm x 5600mm with the under-eaves height of 2100mm.
We made extra wide front posts to hide the tracking system for the roller garage doors that the client had chosen.
Double-Roman concrete tiled roof at a 35 degree pitch. The design of the frame allows the ridge height to be beneath 4m in height – this makes it exempt from planning in some cases (behind the front line of the house and 2m from any boundary are the two main criteria).
The garage was finished with Scottish Spruce cladding.

THE DETAILS
The clients had a sloped lawn front garden which was time consuming to maintain. After obtaining planning permission 20 lorries of spoil was removed and a concrete retaining wall was placed into the ground.
A concrete slab was laid and the brickwork surround added just before we started.
The Scottish Spruce cladding was mirrored on one of the internal walls for the bay that would become a home gym.
The double garage took just 2 weeks to install including the tiled roof. Roller doors and electrics were added after. The garage added value to the property and now means the client can remove the existing garage ready for an extension to the house.
